RichCraft Protocols


  • All users must comply with all current guidelines, regulations and recommendations related to COVID-19 by Ottawa Public Health, the Municipal and Provincial government, the sport governing body, and their Association.

 

  • All individuals must complete an assessment prior to entering the facility. All assessments must be completed the same day clients are attending their ice time.

 

  • Contract holders are solely responsible for ensuring all participants, including players, coaches, and parents/guardians/spectators, are pre-screened for COVID-19 and have their contact information to support contact tracing. Pre-screening must be done for each date on the contract and these records must be kept for one month (31 days). Below are samples of pre-screening questionnaires for your reference.

  • A safety plan must be created and in place by all contract holders.

  • There are no restrictions on team sports. Physical contact, size of teams, cohorts or any other game play scenarios can resume.

 

  • Insurance Requirement - a valid $2 Million Liability Insurance Certificate naming “Capital Sports Management Inc” and “Ottawa Community Ice Partners” as an additional insured is required.

 

  • Each group is permitted to use the change rooms; however, they should take into consideration the make-up of their group (e.g. age, gender) before deciding if group wishes to have participants arrive to the facility in full equipment or not.
    1. With a limited number of people permitted in each dressing room due to physical distancing, some participants will be required to get changed outside the room on chairs. Therefore, plan accordingly to guarantee that participants are NOT inappropriately undressed in the hallway. 
    2. Showering is permitted but must remain physically distanced (2 meters).

 

  • Participants/Team Officials must remain in their designated spot in the dressing room/chair, until the ice is ready. Nobody is to be on the bench during a flood. 

 

  • Coaches will be required to sit in chairs outside their rooms if dressing rooms are full.
  1. If their group has rented back-to-back hours, coaches will need to change chairs they are using to the ones associated with the rooms their participants are in.

 

  • No admittance to building until 30min before scheduled ice time.

 

  • Groups must vacate the dressing rooms within 20min of getting off the ice.

 

  • A mask must always be worn by participants & spectators when they are entering/exiting their activity.
    1. Players & coaches may remove their masks just before their ice time begins.
    2. if the ice time is a game, the coaches/team officials must wear their mask on the bench.
    3. Spectators must always keep their mask on.

 

  • CAPACITY (playing area) - There are only 32 designated spots for each rental.
    1. PRACTICE/SHINNY/SKILL DEVELOPMENT/FIGURE SKATING - No more than 32 people associated with the rental are permitted on the ice/bench area. This includes players, skaters, coaches, trainers, etc.
    2. GAMES - No more than 50 people associated with the game, but no more than 32 players/goalies. The 50 capacity includes players, coaches, managers, trainers, refs, timekeeper, etc.

 

  • CAPACITY (spectators) - a max of 50 are permitted for each rental.
  1. Spectators are not permitted to enter the facility until 5min before their ice time and must go directly to the spectator area.
    1. Unless a participant under the age of 18 requires help to get changed.
    2. Must remain 2 meters from members outside of their household.
    3. Spectators are required to exit the facility no later than 5min after their ice time.
    4. Unless a participant under the age of 18 requires help to get changed.

 

  • The Sensplex has a zero tolerance Harassment Polity. All individuals must maintain respect for staff and patrons in the facility.  

 

  • The Sensplex Conditions of Use protocols must always be followed. Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the facility, non-refundable rental cancellation, and review of future bookings.
